INVOLVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
We have a new volunteer program called "Partners In Action" (PIA).
Every family in the school is asked to do at least 20 hours of volunteer
work for the year. Hours may be obtained by parents, grandparents, aunts and
uncles. There is a log book in the school office which contains every family
name and a list of projects that need to be done. Family members are to come to
the office to sign in before beginning any project. They are also to sign out
when they are finished. Families that do not work the 20 volunteer hours will be
billed $100.00 at the end of the school year.
Volunteer work includes: classroom help, work projects, field trips, lunch room
help, hours spent at school working on fund raisers, working the gate or
concessions at home games, office help, library work, reading to young classes
and cleaning. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to be more involved in
their children’s lives. It only takes a couple of hours a month and everyone
will benefit from it.
