RICK MCGOWAN

Pastor and Mrs. Rick McGowan joined the staff of Temple Baptist Church and West Florida Christian school in June of 2006

Pastor McGowan is currently filling the roles of Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church and School Administrator of the West Florida Christian School.

Pastor McGowan comes to us with many years of experience as both a pastor and educator.  He completed a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Church Ministries from Tennessee Temple, a Master of Ministry from Bethany Theological Seminary, and is currently working on his Masters in Education from Trinity Baptist College

His experience in education is outstanding as is evidenced by his postings to the following churches and schools:  Saratoga Christian Academy – Saratoga Springs, New York (Assistant Pastor, Principal & Teacher); Brevard Christian Academy – West Melbourne, Florida (Assistant Pastor & Teacher); Faith Baptist Christian Academy – Ludowici, Georgia (Teacher); Grace Baptist Academy – Hinesville, Georgia (Pastor, Administrator & Teacher); Emmanuel Christian School (Principal & Teacher). 

Mrs. LAURIE MCGOWAN

Mrs. Laurie McGowan brings with her not only excellent educational credentials but many years of experience as well.  She completed a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from - Baptist University of America with Proficiencies in History, Science & Bible.  She has also done work on a Masters in Education from Pensacola Christian College. 

Her teaching experience includes the following:  Forrest Hills Baptist Academy – Decatur, Georgia (Jr. & Sr. High School Teacher); Saratoga Christian Academy – Saratoga Springs, New York (Elementary, Jr. & Sr. High School Teacher); Brevard Christian Academy – West Melbourne, Florida (Jr. & Sr. High School Teacher); Faith Baptist Christian Academy – Ludowici, Georgia (Jr. & Sr. High School Teacher); Grace Baptist Academy – Hinesville, Georgia (Jr. & Sr. High School Principal); Emmanuel Christian School (Elementary, Jr. & Sr. High School Teacher).
