It has been said that if a man goes through life and has one true friend, he has been very fortunate. I want to tell you about a friend of mine who is just the type we have mentioned. He is a friend who can meet every need of your life. The Bible describes my friend as "..a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."(Proverbs 18:24) In the book of Matthew, chapter eleven and verse nineteen it says that He is a friend of sinners.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13)
JESUS CHRIST gave his life for you nearly 2,000 years ago- before you were ever born
The bible says that, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD." (Romans 3:23)
The reason you need a saviour is because you have sinned!
"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." (Romans 3:10,11)
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:14-15)
GOD has a free gift for every man and woman who will receive it. That free gift is eternal life for all who believe that the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST is all they need to trust in for GOD's forgiveness.
The Bible says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation and an eternal home in heaven is a free gift from GOD that can only be yours if you trust in JESUS CHRIST and nothing else.
Yes, JESUS CHRIST died so that you could become his friend. Only through the blood of CHRIST which was shed on Calvary's cross can we become a friend of GOD. JESUS paved the way to heaven with his own blood. Now, you very simply must trust him as the way to GOD.
The Bible also says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
"As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
Does this make sense to you? If it does, Romans 10:13 tells us what we must do to be saved.
Friend, here is all it takes to have this one true friend who can save you from your sin. Right now, acknowledge your sin and your need of a saviour, believing that if you turn from your sin (repent) and accept CHRIST as LORD of your life, you can be saved.
Why not pray this prayer:
"LORD JESUS, I am a sinner and I need a Saviour. Right now I turn from my sin and accept You as my LORD and SAVIOUR. I am trusting You, and You alone for my salvation, believing that You died and rose again from the grave. I thank You for saving me."
